I realize that the general themes of my writing on here is pretty mundane stuff...but these are the things that light up my life and make me happy. So...here's a short list of recently cool and beautiful moments:

1. When I was waiting at the hospital with my mom before her chemo infusion, a sweet little old man came over and spoke to my mom. He crossed the waiting area just to talk to her. And he said, that he saw her from across the room, and noticed her face. He said she was beautiful. And she must have been really beautiful when she was younger. "You can tell. Why just look at that face." It made my mom beam and light up. And it really touched my heart. I of course totally agree...but it makes me happy when other people notice how cool the people that I love are.

2. I spoke with Jill today. She is one of my family friends. She's known me my whole life. When I was 13, I went to Medjugorje with her family and my family, and climbed Mount Krizevac. We talked about seeing eachother. I was acutually thinking of her today. And she had been thinking of us for the last month. It was really good to know that even if you don't see a person, or speak to them often, that you can still be connected and love eachother from far away. That someone may be out there loving you at this very moment, even if it's not expressed in this very moment.

3. I got to rub Charity's baby belly! Hehe. It's so cool. She's having a baby!

4. Charity and Mike gave us a little chocolate cake..which was a great surpise since upon my return from work today, I discovered the remnants of my pan of brownies. ...The culprit...was the dog. She counter surfs...what can I say?

5. I was told that my sketch was really beautiful...by a person that does not give compliments like that easily. :-)

6. I got to have coffee and talk with my friend Heather for an evening. She rattled off a list of things that she liked about Joshua...which was super cool. Especially because I don't think I've ever had a friend who did that about him. Even though I'm a big fan of the boy.

7. I sold a mahogany table at work! Yipee!

8. I got some really good hugs...I mean REALY GOOD ONES. I was hugged and kissed, and huged for ages. It was pretty amazing. And I really enjoyed it.

9. In the last few days I had 3 different people tell me that my mom was "lucky to have me." But tonight when we were watching a movie, I hugged her and told her that I was lucky to have her. Then I said it again. "I'm REALLY lucky to have you." She paused and smiled then said with simple honesty..."Yeah. You are. Not everyone has a great mom that loves them so  much." It was so cute. She said it with simple honesty of a childs spirit. That was a good moment. One thing I really want my mom to know is how much I love her, and appreciate her for just being herself.
