On the eve of change...(I hope)
Beginning tomorrow, we will usher in a new era. I used to ask my girlfriends which did they think would happen first...a black president, or a female one? A lot of them didn't think that it would happen any time soon. I'm glad that wasn't true after all. Tomorrow, the USA will be a different place. I'm excited by all of this relatively quick change. 5 years ago, most americans didn't even know who Obama was. It's very impressive that not only have the people come to know him and love him in such a short time, but that they have chosen to rally with him and hopefully make this country great again. It seems to be the spirit and tenor of many conversations lately. -People are eager for change and asking what they can do to be a part of that change.
"Ask not what your country can do for you -ask what you can do for your country."
