I learned this new trick for managing stress. It's basically sports psychology. When ever you get stressed...try to notice how it feels in the early stages...when you're not quite full blown stressed out. It's a good thing to cue into your body then. And just notice the small signals that let you know that your stress level is rising. Then, when you notice that, close your eyes and breath deeply while envisioning your desired outcome. So...for an athlete, that might be picturing making that shot, or crossing the finish line first. Basically you focus and relax. And as Mos Def would say..."get your head right." It's been so usefull for me. Challenges come. -It's all just a part of life. The big thing for me is to not let them psych me out. To keep my focus and proceed in the midst of my challenges.
