Flipping through the Williams-Sonoma catalog, I see my vacuum cleaner. (BTW...I always thought it was strange how vacuum has two U's. vacUUm.) Anyhoo... My vacuum! It's silly, but seeing my vacuum in a catalog designed to sell it, gives me a renewed sense of appreciation for it. It's like: "I didn't know you were that cool vacuum. Wow. You're pretty nice!" I get the same feeling when I'm out at the antique shop and I see some old relic, that I already have. It makes me want to dust it off and display it nicely. And have more appreciation in general for the wonderful things I already have.
