Helping to make the world a better place...with less water usage.

Current mood:happy

So I met with Randy, from the city's water conservation department. We went over my tenants yard and checked out the watering system. I am sooo changing things there! So many of the sprinkler heads are either broken or need adjusting, so that they water the lawn and not the sidewalk! I have to say, I feel better about the situation being proactive. I am much calmer and optimistic, after having taken some action and collecting information about what some of my options are. I am probably going to take out some of the lawn. And I'm also going to keep some of it. Once it's fixed, it shouldn't cost that much to water. The broken heads + my tenant who leaves the sprinklers going or the hose on when she leaves the house are what are costing me so much. I am getting a water timer with a box that can be locked. And I've asked her to not touch the controls to the current water timer in the meantime. Life is looking up! I am going to be okay-dokay! And I feel good about doing something to help conserve water usage. I know I should do it anyway. Doing the right thing feels good. I'm happy about that.
