Corporate Gifts Are SWEET!!!!

Today was pretty awesome! We had our Christmas lunch at work, and it was so cozy and nice. We had candles burning, and christmas carols playing. The food was delish! Honey roasted ham, GREAT SALADS! (I am a lover of great salads...what makes a salad *great* you might ask??? -dried cranberries, fresh cut slices of pear, crumbled cheese, and candied walnuts...and of course a slammin' viniagrette) Ooooh and the pumpkin pie with whipped cream! Pretty nice. Very good. And so pretty. I also got to sit and chat a bit with the president of the company (she's so inspiring to me -such a great speaker!) AND I FINALLY saw/met the elusive "Wally"! He's also a very down to earth, yet deeply inspiring character. I can see that great leadership starts in humble places. -It begins at home. Being a good person. Loving father/ mother/ lover/ whatever. Being a great leader actually begins long before you ever get the chance to lead. It starts with finding your own inner wisdom, and calm.

...Ooooh! We also all got these amazing gifts! We all got the same thing...and it's sooo cool! An aromatherapy gift set of pillar candles, AND a $20 gift card to Starbucks! I am in love with my candles! I had to sniff them each and then I burned my favorite -Vitality. It's peppermint-eucalyptus! Ahhhh...and it smells so nice. I took a long hot shower by candle light. I love my life! Living by candelight really is a nice way to enjoy a bit of luxury every day. But it's not just needless luxury...it really uplifts the spirit, and is a wonderful way to really key into and enjoy the moment!
