Floppy Bunny Mess
So what do you think? If you are a good person on the inside but do bad things on the outside...are you a bad person? Are you evil? And conversely..if you do good things but on the inside you think and feel bad things...if you are evil on the inside....are you a good person because the only thing the world knows about you are your good deeds? -They are not privy to your secret evil thoughts.
Personally I think it's a combination of the two..I think that who you are on the inside is very important..particularly because thoughts precede actions. And our intent is important. But good intentions aren't enough. We need to match our actions with our philosophies. IMO.  Whadda ya think?

I think it's absolutely a hybrid of those things.
I think we all have thoughts that verge on evil sometimes...
...but I don't think that those thoughts are in any way necessarily reflecting our intentions.

Everyone slips up, we can never be good both in and out 100 percent of the time, but if you always have the best intentions that's what matters. I think.

Then again, some say the road to hell is paved with... you know the rest ;)

I don't really believe anyone can be completely classified as good or evil, anyway. We're all some combination and whether you show one side or just think it, it's still there. It's a matter of how you discipline your soul into leaving your joy free to roam. If only our thoughts are good in nature without ensuring that our actions follow suit, we cheat others. If only our actions reflect a good nature but not our thoughts, we just cheat ourselves. And we all have secret evil thoughts, anyway. Being human means being a shade of gray and I fully believe in giving yourself leniency in your own mind. Try too hard to control your thoughts and you crack the dam from built-up pressure.
And that is all I can think of to blather on about at the moment. I want to take a nap! Too tired to make much sense, sorry.

I agree..people can't really be classified as wholly good or evil. It's kind of like that conversation we had about being bisexual, gay, or straight. In a way it seems like we are all bisexual, and also a combination of good and bad. -We're somewhere on that spectrum.

Actions speak louder than words. Or, as Batman says, "It's not who I am underneath, but what I dothat defines me."

That is my stance on the matter.

Who is he underneath? He's always been one of the more compelling comic book characters to me. In large part because he seems like he *is* dark...and also a hero at the same time.
