I love being home. I also love being away. I guess I just love wherever I am (usually).
So, I had a little adventure. Last week I got to go up to Tahoe and visit Joshua. (Thank you so much Heather!)
It was good to see him. I think the highlights of the trip were: 1. Watching him teach a little girl how to ski. (It was cute). I was just really glad to bear witness to him living out one of his life dreams. -That was really cool. 2. Going to Claim Jumpers with him, Hank, and Christine. That was so much fun. I miss them all so much. It was good to see Hank with his beard, and Christine with her baby bump. And of course Joshua...I think we had eaten there (exact same group) twice before that. All I knew was that I was not going to have the blue cheese wedge salad! I felt so gyped last time. Everyone else had these great salads with loads of different veggies and toppings...and I had a wedge of iceburg lettuce swimming in blue cheese. This time was different! This time I had a crunchy spinach salad! Oooh yeahhhh! (I love really great salads! It is one of my favorite things in life!) 3. I also drove my own car, and came to realize that the Volvo gets pretty good gas milage on the freeway, and that is runs very smoothly on long trips. My mechanic told me that once. He said that my car was meant for long commutes. That it was perfect for that, and that it in fact ran better doing that, rather than short small trips around town. -He was right! I was so shocked.
