Jordan

Floppy Bunny Mess
Today, I am working at a financial institution that lends money to school systems. -Including the local SRJC.
It's pretty quiet here. One of my big tasks today was to ship something through FedEx for my boss. I walked down to the closest drop point, and ended up bumping into Jordan. He's one of Joshua's friends. It's been a while since I've seen him. He looked different. His hair was cropped short and had grown paler and closer to blond. Before it was a lovely growth of curly red hair. I remember tousling it with my fingers once after I had returned from a long roadtrip. In fact, that might have been the last time I saw him. He was busy with work. He seemed a bit tired too. It's strange. There are so many things that I wish I had thought to say in that chance meeting. But I didn't. I could have told him how John told me a funny story about him from back in his Nonesuch days...about how he had gone skinny dipping in the creek behind the school, and how one of the neighbors came out to find a naked kid in his backyard, and how when he approached him and talked to him, Jordan said "Hey man...you can't *own* a river" ...But apparently you can own a river...and he did own that river. It was a good story. And made me laugh. I think it probably would have put a smile on Jordan's face too. I asked him if he was going to go up and visit Joshua. But he said no. Not enough time. I guess he's working hard doing electrical work around the bay area. I wanted to ask about Marika, but didn't. I'm sure she'll hear about me today anyway. I also wanted to ask about Faith, but didn't. It's silly really. There is a world of unsaid nothings in me. I think the secret to making things happen is really to risk those little things. To say them, and see what happens next.

At one time, I wanted to hook Sasha up with one of Joshua's friends, as it seemed that most of them were relatively attractive, fun, and single. She wasn't interested in Oshyan because he wasn't cute enough for her. Hahahahaa. He was the one that I most highly recommended. He's smart, so I thought they'd have a lot to discuss. But he's not handsome enough for her. He was too short, and the proportions of his legs were odd. And he had thick small hands (she liked long lean and strong. -Hands like her brother's or father's). Also he was a computer geek...and she wanted someone who could make something with his hands. (Basically all around...not him.) Short and hairy with no style. Hahaha. I thought it could work? I was wrong. :-)
The rest of them were also too short: Austin, Noah, and Mick. The only one Sasha was interested in was Jordan.  I remember being like: "Him! Jordan?" It was a strange idea to my head. He was fun and nice, I could see him being a great friend. But I was apprehensive about his prospects as a boyfriend. You know how some guys..you can just tell...are friend material, but you'd be a fool to hook them up with your girlfriends? -That was him. Jordan was taller and good looking. Also loads of fun. He was really warm and nice. He ended up dating Marika. And surprisingly enough, they are still together. I'm glad.
