Current mood:excited
Life *is* beautiful! Roberto Benigni had that one right for sure! I have been on the precipice of throwing in the towel lately. In so many facets of my life...I've been feeling tired, and worn down, and like I want to quit. -I am not a quitter! This is significant! (the fact that I feel like quitting goes against the grain of my being.)
But luckily...I feel somewhat like my time for rejuvenation is coming. -Not through rest though...I think this time my rejuvenation will come through concerted effort. -Not giving up. Being DETERMINED to win in my life and overcome any obstacles. I had a great morning! I interviewed for a wonderful job! And it went very well. I was told basically...that I had the job. The company is getting their budget for the upcoming season...and when that comes through, I will be hired if they have it in the budget to do so. The person I spoke with said she would like to start me on Friday of next week! Woo Hoo! OOoooh yeah! (Did I say life is beautiful?!) I'm "beautifully qualified"!!! And I was treated as if it would be their honor to hire me...that they would be lucky to have me! (I have not felt this way in an interview in ages!) In fact...for a while I was in a bit of an interview slump. I hated going because it felt like groveling. And even when I put forth my best efforts and attitude, I was not getting this kind of reception. I couldn't figure it out? When I was younger great jobs were so easy for me to come by. In fact. -Sadly...the best paying job I ever had...I landed when I was 20! It set the bar high. I was making a ridiculous amount of money with excellent benefits and loads of paid vacation! I didn't know what a great job it was then. I think in a way because jobs like that had come so easily to me...I didn't have much appreciation for them..I had never really struggled before when it came to getting a good job. Sister, honey, girl! -Lemme tell you! I know what it feels like now to struggle. And I have so much appreciation in my life now where it was lacking before. Anyhoo...I'm determined to win. Come hell or high-water...I will be victorious!
