I had noticed a while back that Oshyan had posted one of the songs (or "noodlings" as he would call them) that he had written for me, on his myspace page as his song. I was like whatever... I thought it was funny that the band name he made up was called Driftwood Moose.
He collects random ideas for band names. He has a whole list of them. Some are gross. Some are funny. Here are a few: "Helmet Fish, Sheep Tackle, Flesh Bomb, Modern Labia, and Emergency Genital Satisfaction Dummy (album or song name), Cowboy Salsa, Stimulate the Desert, Lance Manhammer. (-He used that one as his "Bond Girl" name....errr... I guess it would be his "Bond Boy" name.)
Driftwood Moose is sort of neutral. It's not one of his best. But I think he meant it to be somewhat bland. He has a way of doing things like that, where he likes things to blend in...it's like his shyness coming out. Even when he's shy, he likes to express himself in quiet ways. Anyhoo... I finally went to the band page. I don't know why it hadn't occurred to me fully that there was a page...a whole page that he had made up. On it, were 2 more songs that he had written for me. When I first went there, I didn't realize that. I was just like.."Cool...there's more! ...hmmm?? That's kind of a funny name for a song...I wonder what it means?" The song I am referring to is called "I Wish I Were George". I didn't get it at first. I just thought it was one of his random band/song names. But it's not random. It refers to an inside joke we had. But the "I Wish I Were" part is new. I don't know what he means by it. My first reaction was actually hurt. I thought he was being mean. He might be. or I might be misinterpreting him all together. Anyhow. There's no use in making assumptions. I guess I'll just have to ask him what he meant by it.
